Korean Zombie Beats Dan IGE. UFC A New Featherweight Champion

Korean Zombie defeated Dan IGE. Now he wants re-match with Brian Ortega

A UFC featherweight figher Chan Sung Jung, known as Korean Zombie, has defeated Dan IGE, a tough challenger who got strong strike skills. The moves zombie showed were different from those he showed in the past . He dominated whole game with various martial arts skills; we could not see him dashing to the opponent like a human zombie. It was a little disappointing that we could not watch his fierce brawl with Dan IGE because Dan IGE is also well known for his bold brawl.  

 

After the winning the match by annanimous decision, in his interview, Korean Zombie Chan Sung Jung said he wanted to show all his skills-wrestling, jujitsu, strike-to show everyone he was qualified to earn the title match. He said he thought he had won the first 2 rounds so he did not push brawl but managed the fight to show he could fight smart and execute strategies. Winning Dan IGe, Korean Zombie Jung Chan Sung now wants the title match. He also briefly mentioned Holloway. Jung Chan Sung showed confidence against Holloway, saying Max Hollow does not have the punch but he has.

In the match between Ortega and Jung Chan Sung, a match before this match, Ortega dominated the whole fight against Chan Sung Jung. So it seems Korean Zombie needs to fight one more match with a fighter in the top rankers who has same level of fighting skills with Ortega.   

 

Sure, Korean zombie is a living legend in UFC featherweight division. Although he was smashed by Jose Aldo in the title match, he showed pretty good fight before his shoulder got injured in the fight. If it had not been for the shoulder injury, he could have fought better. In the match wirh Ortega, Zombie definitely showed that he needs something more to be a champion. Being a top ranker is awesome thing, but being a champion is another level. It is whole new story. Hope to see Korean zombie's fight soon.
